Holes is a non fiction book written by Louis Sachar. A good one I may add.
Holes is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats and his time at Camp Green Lake. He stole some celebrities shoes. He didn’t want to steal the shoes, so let me just say they fell from the sky. Anyway, he meets Zero, X-ray, Squid and other inmates. And as punishment, he has to dig a hole 5 feet by 5 feet every day.
My opinion is that this is one of the greatest books I’ve ever read; the breaking bad of literature. Almost everything is spectacularly written, although nearing the end it gets a bit, well, ish. In the end, the message really comes through.
The authors message is quite hard to find, but it comes through.
“No matter how much bad luck you have, it will always end up alright”
This is a masterpiece of literature, and I recommend this to anyone, and everyone.
